In this blog, I will share my experience of launching an NFT collection that not only garnered significant attention but also resulted in a remarkable surge of 10,000 new followers on our social media platforms and 10,000 new members on our Telegram community. The Idea

With a modest community of 800 members on Telegram at the time, we knew it was crucial to take bold steps to expand our reach and establish a stronger presence. This led us to conceive the idea of launching an NFT collection that would not only captivate our existing members but also attract new enthusiasts to join our vibrant community.

The spark for this idea came from a successful marketing campaign we ran previously, where we had the opportunity to give away NFTs from the Cocktail Bar Punks collection. The generous creators shared around 200 NFTs with us to distribute among our community. We organized a series of engaging activities on Telegram and Instagram, and the response from our community was overwhelming. It turned out to be the most vibrant and interactive week we've ever experienced.

So we decided that probably would be cool to have our own collection.

Design and Development

With the concept in place, we embarked on the design and development phase. Collaborating with talented artists, we ensured that each NFT in the collection represented our brand identity and offered an aesthetically pleasing visual experience. The development process involved creating digital artworks, establishing rarity levels, and setting up smart contracts on the blockchain to authenticate and secure the NFTs.

Drawing inspiration from our visual identity and logo, which beautifully capture the essence of the sea and its rich ecosystem, we embarked on a creative journey to leverage a common term often used in the cryptocurrency world: "Whales." These majestic creatures symbolize individuals or entities that possess substantial amounts of cryptocurrency, making them influential figures within the digital landscape.

With a touch of whimsy, we decided to align our NFT collection with this fascinating concept, diving into the depths of the crypto ocean to discover our own unique breed of "Minke Whales."

Pre-Launch Marketing

Building hype and anticipation before the launch is vital for a successful NFT collection. We employed various marketing strategies to generate buzz within our existing community and attract new enthusiasts. Some of the tactics we employed included:

Launch Day

To make the minting process accessible and inclusive, we decided to host a free mint on the Polygon network. On the mint day, participants simply needed to open our app and follow a few simple instructions. These instructions included following our Twitter account @OpenPeer and joining our Telegram Community @MinkeApp. Once these steps were completed, participants could mint their very own Minke Whale NFT for free.

Post-Launch Sucess

The response to our NFT collection exceeded our expectations. The combination of a captivating concept, strategic marketing, and a user-friendly experience resulted in a substantial surge of 10,000 new followers across our social media platforms and 10,000 new members in our Telegram community.

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that we successfully minted 10,000 Minke Whales within a mere two hours. As a testament to its popularity, our collection soared to the top three in terms of hourly volume on OpenSea during that period.

This influx of new members not only expanded our reach but also provided us with a dedicated and engaged audience.
